Cut fish into desired size, wash and place in the pot. Ad seasoning, onions, fresh pepper and salt to taste. Cook in low heat. Shake immediately to avoid fish from sticking to pot for 10-15 minutes. Add water as desired and allow to cook, when boiled add already cooked and pounded Cocoyam as thickener. Cook for another 5 minutes add Ngolo, Isam. Allow to cook, taste for seasoning, add bitter leaf, leave for 2 more minutes and set aside.
Serve with any swallow of choice
