Myths and Legends of Rivers State Competition

  1. Write a well-researched article of at least a Myth and a Legend of Rivers state in about 1000 words typed on font size 12, A4, (Times New Roman).

  2. It may include but not limited to popular beliefs, taboos, natural elements like trees, rivers, streams, animals, mythical personages, totems, etc

  3. You may submit more than one entry, but not more than three entries.

  4. Open to all Indigenes and Residents of Rivers state from the 23 LGAs.

  5. Age eligibility: Above 18 years and above.

By submitting this Literature to RSTDA   you confirm that for each Literature submitted

  • You are the only author of your work and that it is your original work
  • RSTDA has the right to use the Literature submitted any way RSTDA pleases to promote tourism in Rivers State.
  • You are the sole copyright holder
  • You have not licensed any rights in the work that will conflict with the usage rights required by RSTDA
  • You have the permission of any persons in the work, or if they are under 16, the consent of their parent or guardian to grant the usage rights required by RSTDA
  • You have permission from the owners of property shown in the work to grant the usage rights required by RSTDA
  • That it does not include trademarks, contract rights, or any other intellectual property rights of any other third person or entity
  • That it does not contain names, likenesses, or other characteristics identifying celebrities or other public figures, living or dead
  • You will be responsible for any claim made by any third party in respect of your entry and to fully indemnify RSTDA and its sponsors in respect of all royalties, fees and any other monies owing to any person or entity by reason of your breaching any of the foregoing
  • The persons who have given incomplete or inaccurate personal and contact details will be disqualified, as will be the persons who refuse that their personal details – which are necessary for the game – be collected, kept and used.
  • Participation in the contest implies that participants accept the integrality of these rules. Non-compliance with the rules results in the automatic cancellation of the participation in the contest and of the candidacy for the prize
  • Inaccurate or dishonest declarations, or any fraud, results in the participant’s disqualification
  • The data contained in the contest is strictly covered by professional secrecy, and this also applies to all information communicated to RSTDA during the contest.

Please do not post any Literature or content that are obscene, vulgar, pornographic, hateful, threatening, racist, sexist, discriminatory, or which otherwise violate any local or international laws
